Firmware Update

Step by Step

To start the update process, access the device manager to check which serial (COM) port the reader is connected to.

After unpacking the M-ID10S-FirmwareUpgrade.zip file available in the sandbox, run the ProductTool.exe file

01 - Select the communication port identified in the first step.

02 - Click on the Open button

03 - Select the file to update, example: CF5100_V24.bin

04 - Click the Download button and wait for the update process to finish.

If any failure occurs during the update, disconnect the reader from the USB port and repeat the steps. If in doubt, contact support.
